Exactly the point. iPhones have become too expensive, and there’s nothing like matching
your own OS with
your own hardware.

It replaces my iPhone 6S Plus, which I bought last year used. If the Google trade-in value holds (TBC), I would practically have owned it for free.
Looking forward to iOS-like smoothness with Android-like depth.

I just bought a Note9 today... my S8 crashed, which was the final straw. Thing has been dropping and missing calls all over the place anyway.
It’s a phone. It’s big. I can actually send texts with the stylus. Works for me.

I have the 2 XL and it has been great so far. Only thing I would have liked was screen mirroring through the USB C port.

Interesting, what’s your experience with Samsung shelf life?
My i6s Plus (2015 vintage, IIRC) is still working perfectly fine, but I jumped at the opportunity to trade it in at nearly the same value as what I paid for it (used).
When I sold my i6 Plus (the gen before the 6s) last year, I got dinged for a screen that had begun to delaminate but was otherwise fine.

I’m getting slightly irritated at the lack of a USB 2.0/3.0 conversion tool. I can’t charge this thing anywhere!

That’s newer than my outgoing phone
